Fall Kick-Off Chapter Meeting- Wednesday, 9/18, 7pm

Password: 311090 - Our fall kick-off meeting will take place via zoom on Wednesday, September 18th at 7pm. We will meet some of our student group partners and research partners!
Opportunities
We need each of you to make this Chapter a success. Please consider volunteering/ participating!
1. SafeHeart Research Study.
Latinas are underrepresented in research and at increased risk for cardiovascular disease. Because of these two facts, we have opted to partner with the SAFEHeart Research team to recruit 100 Latinas, ages 18-44, into their study.
- During one visit, participants will learn about their cardiovascular biomarkers and risk, receive education, fill out a survey and receive $50 for participation.
- We see this as an opportunity to have better representation in research while also improving the health knowledge of our communities! We will help explain the study to potential participants and also provide health education.
SAVE THE DATES! And You can sign up here. Please do so soon as possible because the first event is this Saturday! (People who volunteer a certain amount of time over the course of this partnership will have the option to add their participation to their resume). Here are some of the current recruitment dates:

2. Board Positions!
Are you interested in making our NAHN Chapter even better? Consider running for a position on the Board of Directors. The attached document outlines responsibilities for each Board Position. The following positions are available:
- President-Elect
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Bylaws and Elections Officer
* Please e-mail your nominations or interest in one of these positions to both Melissa Hladek (mhladek1@jhu.edu) and Tiffany Covarrubias-Lyttle (tiffany.lyttle@centrahealth.com ) by September 20, 2024.
* Elections will take place in October 2024 for a term start date of January 1, 2025.
